Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and inexpensively obtain a resin ferrule for an optical connector capable of firmly holding an optical fiber without adhesion. SOLUTION: Firstly, a fitting section 10 is molded by using a first resin material and embedding the optical fiber 20 therein, and secondly, a holding section 12 is molded by using a second resin material having the mold shrinkage factor greater than that of the first resin material and embedding the optical fiber therein as well together with a part of the fitting section. The holding section is formed with a collar section 13 on the fitting section side. As a result, the fitting section and the holding section of the resin ferrule formed by holding the optical fiber with the holding section, fitting the fitting section to another member, such as a coupling member, and coupling the optical fiber held by the holding section to another optical fiber are made of the different resin materials and the mold shrinkage factor of the resin material of the holding section is made greater than that of the resin material of the fitting section.
