MEASURING METHOD FOR CONCRETE THICKNESS AND MEASURING METHOD FOR LENGTH OF METAL ROD LEFT IN CONCRETE BODY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring the length of a separator buried in a concrete body when manufacturing the concrete body and left inside as it is after completion of the concrete body, and measuring the concrete thickness by utilizing the measure value. SOLUTION: This measuring method for the concrete thickness is characterized by taking processes as follows: (1) a probe of an ultrasonic flaw detector is put on one end face of the separator left in the concrete body; (2) a pulse is transmitted from the probe toward the other end face of the separator and a reflected pulse is received, to thereby measure the separator length; and (3) a measured value of the separator length acquired in the process (2) is applied to the relation determined beforehand between the separator length and the concrete thickness, to thereby determine the concrete thickness.
