Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for an air conditioner capable of protecting so as not to bring equipment into a malfunction state and an unstable condition such as burning, when an electric power source of a rated voltage or less is erroneously connected in execution work or the like, and the controller for an air conditioner capable of finding easily an erroneous feed of a power source voltage and preventing a component from being replaced erroneously. SOLUTION: This controller for the air conditioner is provided with a means for detecting a power factor under an operation of a compressor when starting the operation of the compressor, and a means for determining the erroneous connection of the power source of the rated voltage or less, based on the power factor under the operation of the compressor.
