AUTOMATIC ICEMAKER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent ice from remaining in an ice making vessel and not dropped to an ice storage box at ice release to disable ice storage, in an automatic icemaker of a refrigerator-freezer. SOLUTION: The automatic icemaker has an ice release timer 27 for counting the operating time of a motor 8, ice release timer determining means 28 for determining whether the ice release timer 27 reaches a predetermined time, and a reverse torsion part 29 for applying torsion to a turn opposite to an ice release direction. Before the ice making vessel is turned to drop ice to the ice storage box, the ice making vessel is turned in a torsion direction for a fixed time and next turned in the opposite torsion direction for a fixed time before turned to a torsion part, which can reduce adhesion between the ice making vessel 1 and the ice before ice release to increase ice releasability.
