Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel sheet showing superior press workability and corrosion resistance by rationally combining the surface roughness of a steel sheet, an applying quantity of a coating material for forming a water-soluble resin film containing an inorganic phosphate on the surface of the steel sheet, and a composition ratio of the coating material. SOLUTION: The steel sheet coated with the water soluble resin containing the inorganic phosphate and having the superior press workability and corrosion resistance is made by directly applying an inorganic-phosphate-containing resin which contains an inorganic phosphate compound and colloidal silica in an amount of 0.8 to 4.5 g/m2, on the steel sheet having the surface roughness (Ra) of 1.2 to 3.0μm after having been pickled. The inorganic-phosphate-containing resin coated on the steel sheet preferably includes 40 to 65 pts.wt. inorganic phosphate compound and 30 to 55 pts.wt. colloidal silica with respect to 100 pts.wt. organic resin.
