SEALING MATERIAL FOR TERMITE PREVENTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a termite-preventive material having an excellent extrudability and storage stability. SOLUTION: The termite-preventive material is prepared by compounding a high-hardness grain, that has resistance against a secretion of a termite 1 and is insect damage-proof against a termite 1, with a liquid polymer, that is not insect damage-proof against a termite 1 and whose number average molecular weight is 5,000-30,000, in a ratio of 30-60 vol% to make the viscosity 1,000-4,000 Pa×s(23°C). The 100 pts.wt. liquid polymer is compounded with a 10-300 pts.wt. thickener that is a calcium carbonate powder and whose surface is treated by a surface treating agent and whose average diameter is not more than 1 μm, and a compounding ratio of the surface treated calcium carbonate powder is 10-200 pts.wt. to the liquid polymer of 100 pts.wt.
