Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat rail device which realizes a high durability by adopting a position detecting means of a non-contact structure, and also, can sense a sliding position of the other rail to one rail by a detail position precision. SOLUTION: A magnetic member 40 has a flat surface 41 which is formed approximately in parallel with the sliding direction in this seat rail device 100, and a tilted surface 42 which is formed to be tilted at an acute angle to the flat surface 41. For a sensor unit 30, a first magnetic sensor 31a which is arranged at a position being confronted with the flat surface 41, and a second magnetic sensor 31b which is arranged at a position being confronted with the tilted surface 42 are provided on one rail. By simultaneously sliding the one rail and the sensor unit 30, the distance between the tilted surface 42 and the second magnetic sensor 31b is changed, and the position in the longitudinal direction of the upper rail 10 to the lower rail 20 is sensed.
