SILICONE GEL SHEET AND ITS PRODUCTION PROCESS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve strength of a silicone gel sheet to dispense with lamination of a synthetic resin film to one or both surfaces thereof, thereby to improve workability in the incorporation of the silicone gel sheet to an apparatus or a component. SOLUTION: At least one layer of a front surface layer, an intermediate layer and a rear surface layer of the silicone gel sheet is crosslinked and hardened by irradiation of an active ray to improve strength of the silicone gel sheet. In particular, the sheet crosslinked at either the front surface layer or the rear surface layer is improved in strength of the side as well as tackiness of the side is reduced or eliminated so that handling is facilitated. Also the sheet crosslinked at both the front surface layer and the rear surface layer is improved in strength of both the sides as well as tackiness of both the sides is reduced or eliminated so that handling is further more facilitated.
