Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water treatment method which reduces apparatus cost and running costs and improves ozone utilization efficiency. SOLUTION: The water treatment method comprises a first oxidative decomposition process for contacting water to be treated with ozone in the presence of hydrogen peroxide, and a second oxidative decomposition process for irradiating ultraviolet light onto the water to be treated, subjected to the first oxidative decomposition process. High-concentration TOC is efficiently removed in the first oxidative decomposition process, and the TOC of which the concentration has been reduced to a low level is oxidatively decomposed to a lower concentration in the second oxidative decomposition process.
