OPTICAL RECEPTACLE WITH OPTICAL ISOLATOR AND OPTICAL MODULE EMPLOYING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To resolve the problem that a space required for an electric circuit becomes larger according as a modulation speed applied to a semiconductor laser is increased, though a shape of a transceiver using an optical module using an optical receptacle is standardized generally. SOLUTION: An optical receptacle with an optical isolator has; an optical isolator which has a cylindrical magnet arranged in the outer peripheral part of an optical isolator element comprising a polarizer and a Faraday rotator; a precise sleeve for holding a plug ferrule for an optical connector; and a holder for holding the optical isolator and the precise sleeve, wherein the holder has a through hole having a uniform inside diameter, and the through hole and the outer peripheral part of the cylindrical magnet or the precise sleeve are threaded and are fixed by screwing.
