ALIGNING TOOL FOR PASSENGER CONVEYOR, AND ALIGNING METHOD USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aligning tool for a conveyor for easily and speedily aligning respective components for installation without being affected by deformation or abrasion in frames and guide rails by aging. SOLUTION: A tool body frame 9 is erected to embrace both end parts of at least one shaft of an upper floor side drive shaft 3 and a lower floor side driven shaft installed between frames 1 or guide rails in this passenger conveyor toward the upper center of the drive shaft, and an upper plate 10 is supported on the tool body frame. A level installation base 25 is installed on the upper plate through a lateral slide mechanism 21 and a vertical slide mechanism 26, and a laser level 11 is installed on the level installing base 25. Lateral/vertical position adjustment of a laser beam radiated from the laser level 11 can be set by sliding the slide mechanisms. The laser beam can thus be radiated in a desired direction, thereby conveyor facility components can be aligned to be disposed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
