SLUDGE TREATMENT APPARATUS AND SLUDGE TREATMENT METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sludge treatment apparatus capable of efficiently reducing the weight of sludge by crushing/solubilizing excess sludge formed from activated sludge and introducing solubilized sludge into a reaction tank to subject the same to aeration treatment. SOLUTION: The sludge treatment apparatus is constituted of the reaction tank 10 for subjecting sludge to aerobic aeration treatment, a mixing tank 11 for mixing the sludge subjected to aerobic aeration treatment in the reaction tank 10 with excess sludge produced from activated sludge treatment facilities, of wastewater, a solid-liquid separation tank 12 for performing solid-liquid separation treatment and a solubilization device 13 for solubilizing the sludge taken out of the solid-liquid separation tank 12. The solubilization device 13 comprises a wet ball mill having a structure capable of continuously crushing/solubilizing the sludge separated in the solid-liquid separation tank 12 and having no separator but having a separation mechanism due to centrifugal separation for the purpose of separating crushed/solubilized sludge and media.
