STARTING METHOD OF OPTICAL DISK DEVICE, AND OPTICAL DISK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the starting method of optical disk device, and an optical disk in which start processing can be performed in a short period of time when tray-open operation is performed, while change of an optical disk is not intended. SOLUTION: In the starting method of the optical disk device, after the optical disk is loaded on a tray 4 and the start processing is performed for the optical disk, either or both of recording or reproducing of information are performed by an optical pickup 2. The threshold value of the time required from start of tray-open operation till the end of tray-close operation is set, when the required time is within the threshold value, starting is performed using starting parameters already set without performing starting processing which is performed when the optical disk is changed.
