Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder-compacted magnetic core having high magnetic flux density and low loss. SOLUTION: The powder-compacted magnetic core is obtained by compacting powder for a magnetic core composed of magnetic powder essentially consisting of Fe and Si and an insulated film formed on the surfaces of the particles of the magnetic powder. The insulated film is obtained by subjecting the magnetic powder to external oxidation treatment. The specific oxygen content (g/m2) denoting the oxygen content (g) per unit surface area (m2) of the magnetic powder is 0.005 to 0.05 g/m2. Since the insulated film is thin and has excellent heat resistance, at the time when the magnetic powder coated with the insulated film is used, the powder-compacted magnetic core having high magnetic flux density and low hysteresis loss can be obtained.
