UNDERFLOOR COVER DEVICE FOR RAILWAY VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underfloor cover device for a railway vehicle, comprising covers that are slidable lengthwise of a car body, so that it can be opened and closed even in a narrow place or a place equipped with a footing. SOLUTION: On an underside surface of a side beam 3, upper ends of a pair of supports 7 and 7 are fixed to have an interval lengthwise of the car body, and a first arm 10 and a second arm 11 are provided on the respective supports 7 to be rotatable widthwise of the car body. A first guide rail 20 is stretched between upper ends of the first arms 10 and 10, and a second guide rail 22 is between upper ends of the second arms 11 and 11. A first cover 25 on the first guide rail 20, and a second cover 26 on the second guide rail 22 are respectively suspended to be slidable lengthwise of the car body. Lock mechanisms 40 are provided on the respective covers 25 and 26 to be engaged with the respective supports 7. Between the support 7 and the first arm 10, and between the support 7 and the second arm 11, stopper mechanisms are respectively provided to stop the arms 10 and 11 that are rotated outward of the car body at different positions when unlocked.
