DEVICE FOR DISINTEGRATING TATAMI MAT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for disintegrating a tatami mat which can be inexpensively manufactured and by which the removal of sewing threads for disintegrating can be easily executed when a tatami mat using straw is disassembled. SOLUTION: The device for disintegrating the tatami mat has a tatami mat table on which the tatami mat is laid and a moving means for cutting the tatami mat placed, and cuts only wefts stitching the mat by a plurality of blades protruded from the tatami mat table side when the mat is move. The blades cut only the wefts disposed on the surface side of the tatami mat laid and move on the tatami mat table. Consequently, the cut wefts are protruded to the rear face side of the tatami mat together with warps by pulling the warps. The cut wefts can be removed from the tatami mat by pulling the warps and the cut wefts can be simply removed by hand. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
