METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR EXAMINING MICROBIAL COLONY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image processing method for forming image from which noise on image such as stain of image system or residue mixed in a culture medium is removed in order to carry out analysis in a microorganism-examining apparatus for examining microbial colony by using image. SOLUTION: Image of only image system is taken without placing a culture medium in the case for removing noise such as stain of image system and image before growing microbial colony immediately after sowing microorganism is taken in the case for removing noise such as residue mixed in the culture medium and coordinates of noise are recorded. In the image taken after prescribed culture, only picture element having coordinates of noise is subjected to filtering treatment to provide an image free from noise. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
