REMOTE INPUT/OUTPUT DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely perform input/output processing relating to information transmission at high speed by disposing a circuit that is used only for an information transmission function without using a fail safe processor, in each of ends of a transmission line in a remote input/output device for controlling railroad vehicles. SOLUTION: Transmission information from an apparatus is imparted from an input processing circuit to two error control circuits so as to be processed in parallel in two systems, an error control code is added to the transmission information to create a transmission telegraphic message, and the error control code is collated between the two systems by a collation circuit to diagnose the operation of each of the error control circuits. The created transmission telegraphic message is sent through a transmission output processing circuit to a transmission line, a reception telegraphic message from the transmission line is received by a a transmission input processing circuit, the transmission information and the error control code are extracted from the reception telegraphic message, and an error is detected from the error control code.
