TERMINAL FOR MONITORING AND NETWORK MONITOR SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal for monitoring and a network monitor system capable of easily exploring a terminal which is newly connected not by exploring the newly connected terminal by checking addresses of terminals one by one by a network administrator, but by checking who uses it and then inquiring of the user. SOLUTION: When the terminal is newly connected in a network, the terminal 1 for monitoring analyzes a log by a log analyzing means and an unregistered MAC address investigating means 11 automatically investigates the user who uses the terminal to display the result on the terminal for monitoring. The network administrator confirms that the new terminal is connected through the using user based upon the display to monitor the network so that no illegal connection is made. Consequently, the user can be specified by using the newly connected terminal, and therefore the new terminal can easily be specified without investigating terminals one by one.
