SEALED ELECTRIC STORAGE DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed electric storage device with excellent productivity which has such a sealing performance that can realize humidity resistance performance required when a battery element is of a nonaqueous type. SOLUTION: A sealed electric storage device 1 comprises an encapsulating member 2, at least one nonaqueous electric storage element 3 housed in the encapsulating member 2, and a current drain terminal 4 joined to the nonaqueous electric storage element 3. In the battery 1, the encapsulating member 2 is formed with an opening 223 for the current drain terminal, the terminal 4 is passed through the opening 223 and then extended outside the encapsulating member 2, and a gap formed between the opening 223 and the current drain terminal 4 is sealed with a one-component curing sealer 6 having a humidity resistance property.
