COLOR SELECTION STRUCTURE, MANUFACTURING METHOD OF THE SAME, AND CATHODE-RAY TUBE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color selection structure with improved mechanical strength of a grid elemental body and stabilized beam transmission rate, which can be manufactured in a single step of etching. SOLUTION: The color selection structure has a large number of slit-shaped beam transmission holes 38, formed by both side etching, and a color selection mask, formed by arranging tape-shaped grid elemental bodies 39 between adjacent beam transmission holes 38, is stretched on a frame. The side surfaces of the grid elemental body 39 is formed into tapered shape by etching, and periodic or regular minute projections are formed on the tapered part 39C, along the extending direction of the grid elemental body 39.
