Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a reverse crown roller by which stable processing is carried out by a simple means even with a minute amount of crown without depending on processing precision of a metal mold and manufacturing cost can be further reduced. SOLUTION: Bearing journals are provided on both end parts of an aluminum cylindrical body of A6000 type by drawing processing. After this, a core shaft is formed by heat processing at 280°C to 400°C. Heat resistant rubber layer and/or fluororesin layer is provided on the outer periphery of of the core shaft. Then, the whole body is heat processed and the specified fixing roller is manufactured. Rollers having uniform shape are always and stably manufactured without being influenced by the precision of the metal mold and since a straight shape product which can be mechanically processed is used for the metal mold, the precision is maintained and the cost for the metal mold processing can be reduced.
