Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling inertia stop of a crank shaft of an internal combustion engine to achieve a desired stop position with high certainty and precision and to improve a computer program and its controller. SOLUTION: This control method for inertia stop of the crank shaft of the internal combustion engine at the desired stop position comprises a step (S5) of measuring actual rotation speed n of the crank shaft during an inertia rotation process, inspecting whether or not actual rotation speed n is within predetermined tolerance scope Δn1around predetermined target rotation speed nsoll, and guaranteeing inertia stop of the crank shaft at the desired stop position and steps (S15a, S15b) for starting compensation ignition of air-fuel mixture in at least one selected cylinder of the internal combustion engine at least once to shift actual rotation speed n of the crank shaft into tolerance scope Δn1when the inspection shows that actual rotation speed is not within the tolerance scope actually.
