METALLIC ROOF MATERIAL FOR ROOFING OF SLATE ROOF MATERIAL AND ROOFING CONSTRUCTION METHOD FOR SLATE ROOF MATERIAL BY USE OF IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallic roof material for roofing of an existing roof material overlapped on an existing slate roof material without causing a clearance and capable of preventing occurrence of deformation and sound of rain of a novel metallic roof material and preventing occurrence of sense of incongruity in design of the existing roof material and to provide a roofing construction method by use of it. SOLUTION: This metallic roof material 1 is provided on an upper face of the existing slate roof material 2, and a main body part is formed to have the same dimension and shape as corrugation of an upper face of the existing roof material 2. A suspension piece 11 is formed in a front end part of the main body part, and a rising piece 12 is formed in a rear end part. The suspension piece 11 in the front end part of the metallic roof material 1 on a lower step side is locked in an eaves side end fringe 21 of the existing roof material 2 on a lower step side. The rising piece 12 in the rear end part is abutted on the eaves side end fringe 21 of the existing roof material 2 on an upper step side. The metallic roof material 1 on the lower step side is fixed together with the existing roof material 2 on the lower step side through a fixing device 3. Then, the rising piece 12 of the metallic roof material 1 on the lower step side abutted on the eaves side end fringe 21 of the existing roof material 2 on the upper step side is locked by the suspension piece 12 of the metallic roof material 1 on the upper step side and is fixed together with the existing roof material 2 on the upper step side through the fixing device 3.
