Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forging apparatus with which a member to be processed, such as a crank shaft, a connecting rod, provided with a portion largely changing the cross sectional area, can be roughly worked by forging simply and with good precision by using the apparatus having a simple mechanism. SOLUTION: This apparatus comprises: a fly wheel 1 fitted to a main body frame F so as to be rotatable through a shaft 11 and holding an inertia rotating force by rotation-driving with a motor 3; a pinion gear 2 disposed in the shaft 11 of this fly wheel 1; two gears 4 provided on the outer periphery of teeth 42 engaged with this pinion 2 and fitted to the main body frame F so as to be rotatable through shafts 41, each being in symmetrical-state at both sides across the pinion gear 2; formation part main bodies 5 which have formation parts 51 facing each other and respectively supported on eccentric shaft parts 41a formed for two gears 4 so as to perform the eccentric movement; shifting means 6 setting the interval between the formation parts 51 facing in the formation part main bodies 5; and tension means 7 which are arranged at the upper end parts of the formation part main bodies 5 and energize the forming parts 51 facing in the formation part main bodies 5, to the direction for separating them.
