SOLUTION: The subject diagnostic medicine for the aplasia of corpus callosum or sperm contains a PCR (polymerose chain reaction) primer or hybridization probe containing a DNA encoding a new cell adhesion factor (BT-IgSF) or its partial sequence, for example, a hybridization probe comprising a DNA represented by the following (a) or (b). The diagnosis is carried out by examining the presence or expression of a BT-IgSF gene. (a) The DNA containing a base sequence represented by a specific base sequence. (b) The DNA hybridized with the base sequence represented by the specific base sequence under a stringent condition and encoding a protein acting as the cell adhesion factor.
