Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noisy environment adaptive digital receiver for positively utilizing information following to a change in the statistic property of noise and capable of carrying out reception suitable for the noise characteristic. SOLUTION: A transmitter side carries out regular error correction coding and applies waveform shaping / modulation suitable for the property of a transmission path and transmits the resulting signal. In a receiver shown in the figure, a channel separation section 102 separates a channel (communication channel: no problem even in the case of a plurality of communication channels) used for transmission of information subjected to error correction coding and a channel not used for information transmission (out-channel: no problem even in the case of a plurality of out-channels) from the received signal. A noise estimate section 106 estimates the statistic property of noise in the channel (out-channel) not used for the information transmission. A digital information reproduction section 104 reconfigures (decodes) the transmitted information on the basis of the statistic property of noise estimated by the noise estimate section 106 and the signal of the channel (communication channel) used for information transmission.
