COLLABORATIVE DESIGN SYSTEM AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collaborative design system that enables a designer and a design assessor to design a three-dimensional shape model and evaluate the design by collaboration while enhancing communication each other. SOLUTION: A collaborative design system 1 principally comprises an evaluation support device 2 which has screens 11a and 11b consisting of six planes surrounding the design assessor C who evaluates the design and can project the three-dimensional shape model 10 on a virtual space 9 and a design support device 3 which is connected to the evaluation support device 2 through a communication network 12 and can design the three-dimensional shape model 10 projected by the evaluation support device 2 with high precision. Pieces 4 and 5 of design information and pieces 6 and 7 of operation information are updated in real time between the evaluation support device 2 and design support device 3 and then the design assessor C and designer D are made to have common recognition of the three-dimensional shape model and smoothly perform the designing operation.
