VEHICLE COLLECTION SYSTEM AND VEHICLE SEARCH SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To collect vehicle data and search the collected data for a predetermined vehicle. SOLUTION: A digital camera photographs a vehicle and a vehicle number recognizing part recognizes the vehicle number of the vehicle in its image. A position measuring means measures the current position at the time of photography. A clock means measures the current time at the time of photography. A mobile communication means sends the vehicle number recognized in the image by the vehicle number recognizing part, along with the current position measured by the position measuring means and the current time measured by the clock means. A data storage part stores data sent from a plurality of parked vehicle collection systems. A vehicle search part searches the data stored in the data storage part for vehicle numbers, and measures the time during which any vehicle with the same vehicle number was at standstill in the same position, thus searching for the vehicle at standstill. Crime-related vehicle numbers registered in the data storage part in advance makes to allow searches for vehicles corresponding to the crime-related vehicle numbers among the vehicle number data sent.
