OPTICAL FIBER CONNECTOR AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber connector which is inexpensive and capable of easily conducting coupling, removing and rearranging a plurality of optical fibers and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The optical fiber connector is used to couple optical fibers and is provided with (1) a socket which has a tunnel shaped hole that penetrates a portion of the socket and is extended, a first opening which is made by the tunnel shaped hole on a first surface of the socket, a second opening which is opened on a second surface of the socket and in which the first surface is opposed to the second surface, (2) a first plug which has a first projection to hold a portion of a first optical fiber and is inserted into the first opening with a portion of the first optical fiber and (3) a second plug which has a second projection to hold a portion of a second optical fiber and is inserted into the second opening with a portion of the second optical fiber.
