Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a panel heater for a liquid crystal display element which has high reliability without causing crack or the like in a substrate by reducing the influence of warpage of the substrate to mitigate the display unevenness of the liquid crystal display element. SOLUTION: In the panel heater 10 for the liquid crystal display element, which is equipped with a substrate 11 with a transparent conductive film 12 and a plurality of electrodes 14 arranged on two respectively mutually opposing edges of the substrate 11 and connected to one another with tie bars 15 and which heats the liquid crystal display element to a predetermined temperature by applying a voltage to the transparent conductive film 12 via the electrodes 14 and making the transparent conductive film 12 liberate heat, the panel heater 10 is constructed so as to make the tie bars 15 be disposed on a position opposite to side faces of the substrate 11.
