Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection method applicable to a case which does not have void capacity, capable of correction, in a short period. SOLUTION: A measuring method for pressure of vapor leaked from electrolytic solution contained in a casing is presented, which is the detection method for tightness of the casing of power source supplying electric power to the implanted medical device. More widely speaking, the detecting method for leakage is applicable to any sealed cases, equipped with a first part fixed to a second part and containing liquid in its interior. It is not necessary that the liquid occupy the entire volume of the case, but it is sufficient that at least one component be contained of about 0.1 mmHg of vapor pressure at 25°C. The component is one either of aiding the functions of the device, such as electrolytic solution, or separately detecting leakage by being added later. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
