Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inorganic fiber blowing method and apparatus for easily loosening inorganic fibers even if enlarging bulk specific gravity, easily filling the inorganic fibers into a building and forming a heat insulating layer with the fibers connected to one another by a binder. SOLUTION: In this inorganic fiber blowing method, compressed granular inorganic fibers are loosened not to leave lumps, and a heat-melted resin binder is mixed therein. A mixture is heated to a softening or melting temperature of the binder or higher and filled in a space of the building by hot air blowing to integrate the inorganic fibers with one another by the heat-melted resin binder, thus forming the heat insulating layer. The inorganic fiber blowing apparatus is provided with a loosening unit for loosening the granular inorganic fibers so as not to leave lumps; a binder supply unit 7 for supplying the heat-melted resin binder; a heating unit for heating to soften or melt the binder; a hot air supply unit 9 for pneumatically transporting the inorganic fiber and holding the binder in a softened or melted state; and a discharge port 10 for the heated mixture.
