HEAT INSULATION UNIT FOR HOT REPAIR OF COKE OVEN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to perform repair/reconditioning of a carbonization chamber 1 smoothly even if a heat-insulation box B as large as necessary and sufficient for an operator's work is used. SOLUTION: On the working area S of the lower side face of the carbonization chamber 1 of the coke oven A, the carriage 10 is mounted free movably to the longitudinal direction of the oven battery, and on this carriage the heat-insulation box B is furnished through the scissors link mechanism 11, the slider 13 and the like. This heat-insulation box B is somewhat higher than the operator's height, its width being wide to allow its entry into the carbonization chamber 1. This equipment is prevented from falling, for example, by the outtrigger mechanism 16 equipped on the carriage 10. The carriage 10 is moved to the carbonization chamber 1 to be repaired/reconditioned, the scissors link mechanism 11 is stretched, and the heat-insulation box B is lifted to the height on which the repair is performed. Then the insulation box B is placed into the carbonization chamber 1 through the slider 13, and the operator enters the insulation box B and reaches out working tools from windows of each side face for check and reconditioning.
