Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical signal transmission apparatus etc. including a reflecting fixed gain semiconductor optical amplifier in which intensity noise possessed by an incoherent light sourse can be effectively suppressed to improve a modulation rate and an optical output. SOLUTION: An optical signal transmission apparatus 100 comprises an optical source 101; the reflecting fixed gain semiconductor optical amplifiers 104-105 each of which outputs the gain fixed optical signal by which an output light intensity is constant in a gain saturation region to which an external implantation light is input; a wavelength division multiplexing apparatus 103 which splits the light formed with an optical source 101 in spectrum, supplies as the implantation light of reflecting type of the gain fixed semiconductor optical amplifiers 104-105 and multiplexes the optical signal by the reflecting type of the gain fixed semiconductor optical amplifiers 104-105; and a circulator 102 which inputs the light formed with the optical source 101 into the wavelength division multiplexing apparatus 103 and outputs the optical signal multiplexed by the wavelength division multiplexing apparatus 103 to a transmitting link 500.
