Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup exhibiting a proper characteristic for following an optical disc at a high frequency, in which the sensitivity with respect to the focusing direction is improved by effectively utilizing electromagnetic force by a focus coil, in which a high-order resonance frequency of a mobile part is increased by improving the rigidity of the mobile part, and in which the vibration level at the high-order resonance is decreased. SOLUTION: In the optical pickup 1, an objective lens 2 is disposed at approximately the center of the mobile part 3; the focus coil is wound around the overall circumference of the outer circumferential surface 21 of the main body part 20 of the mobile part; a tracking coil 8 is mounted on the outer circumferential surface of the main body part 20 of the mobile part; and the mobile part is movably supported via a support wire 4. By making the mobile part of main body part 20 of the mobile part into a hexagon in plan view, each tracking coil is disposed obliquely with respect to the tracking direction, and a permanent magnet 9 is disposed facing the tracking coil 8.
