SYSTEM, SERVER AND TERMINAL DEVICE FOR MANAGING ADDRESS INFORMATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for managing address information for browsing a desired Web page by a simple operation. SOLUTION: A terminal device 100 is connected to a server 1 for managing address information via the Internet 2. The server 1 authenticates a MAC address of a terminal device 100 transmitted therefrom depending on the presence of the address coinciding with the MAC address in a terminal identification information database stored in an external storage device 30. When succeeding the authentication, the server 1 transmits bookmark information for the device 100, in a form for a caption display, stored in a bookmark database. The device 100 makes a caption display of the received bookmark caption information at a lower section of a screen on a TV receiver 150. A user specifies a desired browsing destination in accordance with the number and the title in the caption display by means of a remote controller 160, and the device 100 requests for browsing to the server 1 on the basis of the user's specification.
