DRIVING METHOD FOR PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving method for a plasma display panel capable of well displaying images even if the pulse width of the driving pulse to be applied to the plasma display panel is shortened. SOLUTION: A unit display period is divided to a plurality of divided display periods. The divided display periods of successively executing a first pixel data writing process step of causing each of discharge cells belonging to a part of display line groups among the respective display lines to generate a select discharge according to the pixel data, a first light emission sustain process step of causing each of discharge cells to generate a sustain discharge, a second pixel data writing process step of causing each of the discharge cells belonging to another part of the display line groups among the respective display lines to generate the select discharge according to the pixel data, and a second light emission sustain process step of causing all the discharge cells to generate the sustain discharge are included in the unit display period.
