Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an organosilane, scarcely causing damage to a reactor due to carbonization and corrosion, when the organosilane is produced in a high space time yield, capable of avoiding a defect caused by conventional technology, and scarcely forming an undesired by-product. SOLUTION: This method for producing the organosilane comprises reacting a hydrosilane of formula (2): R3Si-H (R is a 1-18C monovalent hydrocarbon residue, H or a halogen) with a halogenated hydrocarbon of formula (3): R'-X (R' is a 1-18C monovalent hydrocarbon residue; and X is a halogen) in the presence of a radical initiator selected from an alkane, a diazene, and an organodisilane.
