Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen storage material precursor which yields a hydrogen storage material having a high hydrogen desorption rate, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The hydrogen storage material precursor has a metal imide compound that changes into the hydrogen storage material containing both a metal hydride and a metal amide by reacting with hydrogen.
