The carbon black is prepared by the method comprising a contact step of contacting with a gas containing nitric acid to produce a nitrogen oxide on the surface of the carbon black, thereby forming the acidic carbon black and an elimination step of eliminating the nitrogen oxide by activating the acidic carbon black.
