Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air classification apparatus capable of improving the separation efficiency of lightweight matters and heavy matters by efficiently using the wind power to waste plastics or the like even in the case the cross-sectional surface area of a wind channel housing is increased. SOLUTION: The air classification apparatus comprises a wind channel housing 1 having a throwing inlet 5 for throwing object matters 2 to be classified in an upper part side, a conveyer 6 disposed in a lower part of the inside of the wind channel housing 1 along the longitudinal direction, a blowing means 7 for blowing wind to the inside of the wind channel housing 1 toward the upstream side in the object matter transportation direction of the conveyer 6 with respect to the throwing inlet 5, and recovery ports 8, 9 formed in a lower part side of the wind channel housing and in the downstream side in the object matter transportation direction of the conveyer 6 for discharging classified object matters. Throttling members 14, 15 projected in the inside of the wind channel housing 1 are arranged in the inner face of the wind channel housing 1 to narrow the channel cross-sectional surface area of the wind channel housing 1.
