COOLING DEVICE FOR CURRENT COLLECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling device for a current collector capable of suppressing the temperature rise of a current collector ring. SOLUTION: The cooling device for a current collector is provided with the current collector ring 2 mounted to the rotating shaft 1 of a rotating electric machine, a brush 4 for feeding a current to the current collector ring 2, a fan 10 mounted to the rotating shaft 1, a cover 7 which covers the current collector ring and the brush and forms an inlet and an outlet of a cooling medium by the fan, and also a flow control member for controlling the flow from the inlet 11 of the cooling medium to the current collector ring 2. The flow control member is provided with a control plate 21a arranged to the upstream side in the rotation direction of the rotating shaft, and a control plate 21b arranged to the downstream side in the rotation direction. The distance between the control plate 21a arranged to the upstream side in the rotation direction and the surface of the current collector ring is set larger than that of between the control plate 21b arranged to the downstream side in the rotation direction and the surface of the current collector ring.
