Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make polishable an oblique protrusive spherical surface at a standardized angle θ in the point end part of a cylindrical ferrule provided with a chamfering part in the point end peripheral part. SOLUTION: A ferrule 1 is fixed to a ferrule retaining jig 2 to tilt by an angle θ relating to a rotary shaft of a polishing surface plate 3, to press the ferrule to a polishing sheet 5 through an elastic material 4 on the polishing surface plate 3. The polishing surface plate 3 is tilted so as to further increase by Δ from the angle θ formed by an axis of the ferrule and a perpendicular to the polishing surface plate 3.
