Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new heat pump type concentration apparatus in which the feedback of superheated vapor and a heating unit are not necessitated and the damage to a compressor by a drain attack can be avoided, and to provide a method for operating the heat pump type concentration apparatus. SOLUTION: The vapor component S0 discharged from an evaporator 2 is heated by the compressor 7, which is then supplied to a heating boiler 1. A Roots blower is applied as the compressor 7 so that the damage to the compressor 7 by the drain attack can be avoided even when a mist or a drain exists in the vapor component S0 to be sucked in the compressor 7.
