PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile machine realizing registration and utilization of abbreviation dialing or the like from many users' own seats in an office at a comparatively lower cost. SOLUTION: The facsimile machine receives an abbreviation dial registration request attended with destination identification information from an information processing apparatus, registers the destination identification information to an abbreviation dial registration table while making correspondent to a free abbreviation number, and transmits registration end notice information including at least the registered abbreviation number to the information processing apparatus being a registration request source. After the facsimile machine completes transmission of document data of an original to a destination apparatus designated by the entry of the abbreviation number with which the registered destination identification information is made correspondent and particularized by the destination identification information, or after lapse of a prescribed time after the registration of the registered destination identification information, it is characterized in that the registration of the destination identification information to the abbreviation dial registration table is deleted.
