Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a black colorant composition, to provide a method for producing the composition, and to provide a method for using the composition. SOLUTION: The black colorant compound comprises a first ionic dye component having a color characteristic of absorbing light of a part or more of the visible light spectrum and a second ionic dye component having a color characteristic of absorbing light of a part or more of the visible light spectrum that is not absorbed by the first ionic dye component. The first ionic dye component and the second ionic dye component are complexed together to form an ionically complexed colorant compound that exhibits black color.
