HAT CHANNEL TYPE MEMBER FOR AUTOMOBILE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the structure of a hat channel type member by which occurrence of defective dimensional accuracy in formed parts after press forming and being released from a die is reduced as far as possible and, as necessary, which has sufficient crushing strength in a longitudinal direction. SOLUTION: In the hat channel type member which is constituted by forming a long sized main body which is formed into an approximately U-shape in a cross section at a right angle to the axis and a pair of flanges which are extended in the longitudinal direction in both end parts of the main body, one or a plurality of bead parts extended in the height direction of vertical walls are formed on a pair of the opposed vertical walls of the long-sized main body respectively and the form of these bead parts satisfies prescribed relational expression between the height and the length of the vertical wall in this hat channel type member for automobiles.
