Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element which can achieve a full product life. SOLUTION: This organic electroluminescent element is provided with a substrate 1, a lower electrode 2 formed on the substrate 1, an organic electroluminescent part 7 installed on the lower electrode 2, an upper electrode 6 formed on the organic electroluminescent part 7, a sealing layer 9 formed to cover the lower electrode 2 formed on the substrate 1, the organic electroluminescent part 7, and the upper electrode 6, and a water repellent layer 10 formed on the sealing layer 9. The substrate 1 has light transluceny, and the light emitting element is provided with the lower electrode 2, the organic electroluminescent part 7 formed on the lower electrode 2, and the upper electrode 6 formed on the organic electroluminescent part 7.
