IMAGE FORMING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of preventing with a simple structure paper jam caused by performing an image forming operation with a movable paper discharging tray 182 closed. SOLUTION: This image forming device is structured so that a fixed paper discharging tray guide protruding portion 181c of a fixed paper discharging tray 181 arranged extendingly in the paper feeding direction from a paper discharging portion 17 of an image forming device body and a movable paper discharging tray guide protruding portion 182c of a movable paper discharging tray 182 are arranged at different positions in the direction perpendicular to the paper feeding direction, and the fixed paper discharging tray guide protruding portion 181c and the movable paper catch tray guide convex portion 182c may be located at such a height that they are overlapped with each other with the movable paper discharging tray 18 closed. With this constitution, the paper can be discharged outward even if the image forming operation is wrongly performed by a user with the movable discharging tray 182 closed, a recording medium P on the fixed paper discharging tray 181 is held between the protruding portions 181c and 182c in a curved cross-section form to give elasticity to the recording medium P.
